Hello to whomever is answering this or suffering from the same problems.

I recently took a video that was about an hour long recorded through FRAPS and loaded it in to Movie Maker. After working on it, I saved it as a Windows Media Audio/Video File. After a few hours, it finished saving and I went to preview it. About 12 minutes in to the video, the video freezes for the rest of the movie until the point that I cut together two different videos. Throughout the whole thing though, the sound continues unabated. I have created a couple other videos before this one that have worked fine, most have been pretty close to the same length. I would greatly appreciate an answer ASAP.

Thank you very much for the help!

I have been editing a film on windows movie maker for a while and it has now stopped showing me the videos.

I can see the clips and audio in my timeline but it won't play. I need to sort this out asap as i have a deadline for this video. I have tried lots of methods i have read but none have worked yet. Also, when attempting to publish my video, it says 'Windows Movie Maker cannot publish the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the publishing location is still available, that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again.'

This is really annoying me and i need some help to sort it. My laptop is Windows 7 if that helps.

Many Thanks.

To all,

I am trying to send a highlight video of my daughter's 2013 lacrosse season via Skydrive.  How do I change the "Subject Line" that people will see when I share it?  It shows up as, "Brian has shared a video with you.".  I am worried that coaches will not open it, especially if it goes to their spam file.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I am running into a nuisance problem with WIndows live Moviemaker where if a video file gets trimmed, and the play button gets pressed the video just loops 3 seconds of the video preview.  If I save and re-open the video it plays fine.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I use a Sony Handycam HD camcorder to shoot family videos.  Windows Live Movie Maker to edit them on a Windows 7 ASUS laptop...

When I view the file prior to import, the video plays fine.  When I view the footage in Movie Maker everything looks fine.  When I publish the file (tried a number of different formats) it messes the footage up.  Hard to describe, but picture what your HD signal TV looks like when it's struggling with reception.

I tried the YouTube video editor on the same files and everything works fine.  So I've decided it has to be in the export / publish stage of WMM....  Appreciate any and all help I can get.  Happy to share additional information if needed.

Why can't I download a video or  mp3 from  sky drive to my iPad? Also, when I try to playback a video on my iPad  that someone has shared with me on skydrive it doesn't seem to load up properly as it plays for a bit then stops. When you hit play... It does so for a bit then stops again, what's up with that?
I am cutting parts out of a video that are unnecessary and in the editor it is just fine, but when I make it into a video file playable by anything the video is pixelated and looks like its skipping around. The audio stays on track, but the video is misbehaving. Any ideas?
My 8 minute video has been preparing itself for 30 mins and it's not even half way done. Why does it do this? I'm not using my computer to do anything else so it's not like my computer it working on something else at the same exact time. I don't know why it has to prepare a video.

I used Movie Maker years ago and it never did this. Is there a reason?

Thanks!!
HG
Ok, so I went through all the work of creating this video. During the editing process, there is an X over the preview screen, which I assume is there for the purposes of editing. But when I finished the video, published it and posted it to YouTube, the X is still there! How do I get rid of it? Oh, using Movie Maker 6 on Windows 8. Windows Live Movie Maker sucked.

See what I mean with this picture of my video:

My computer and MS Movie Maker appear to connect to my DV Camera with no problem, but when I attempt to import video,
it does not capture anything and just shows the black screen. MS Movie Maker correctly rewinds the tape and begins playback on my camera. I have updated the software on PC and laptop, after updating the import worked on laptop but not on PC. Drivers for video are up to date and I can see other content and photos in Movie Maker. I just can't get the import to function. Checked the Codex, which checked out ok, with MS tools. Any ideas?
