Movie Maker loses video when uploaded to Facebook

I have tried several methods, and every time I upload a video to Facebook, when you play it back, there is no video, just audio.

This also happens when I try to upload the raw file from my camera - without any rendering by Movie Maker.  So, what's the deal?

Is this a problem with my PC, or a problem with Facebook?  Video from my Android phone uploads just fine. I just got the latest

Windows updates, tried it again, and still doesn't work.  Any ideas??  This used to work when I had just the plain old Movie Maker

that came with Win7 (not the Live version).

Is there any way I can uninstall Windows Live Movie Maker, and replace it with the old Win7 Movie Maker?

Movie maker split tool is not working correctly

I'm making a video in movie maker and have been using the split tool to delete out sections of unwanted video successfully.  When I got near the end of the video I clicked the split button and it made the timeline/storyboard and video preview disappear and I am not able to split anymore.  I can click the undo button and get everything back, but I can't split anymore.  What happened?  How to fix it?  Here is a quick screencast video showing what happens, http://screencast.com/t/rRERI9XS.  The problem started after I copied a clip and pasted it in the timeline and then added 2 or 3 captions.

Urgent help with movie maker

Hi all,

when I upload my avi video clip to Movie Maker, the first few seconds of the movie are dark.

I can see and hear the person in the video but it's all dark and then after a few seconds it's all fine and you can see the video clear.

No problems with the sound, even when the video is initially dark.

I have installed Windows essentials and I have the latest versions.

Would appreciate your help in fixing this issue asap as I was in the process of editing the movie.

exported video from WMM wont show the images

Hi all,

I have put together a small video using Windows Movie Maker where I could watch and edit the footage but when exported the video doesnt show...all black except the title and subtitles Ive added. Tried exporting in all formats.

Cannot share Movie Player video.

Created a video and saved it in a .wlmp and a mp4 file format. I can not share via email or facebook, but I can open it in Windows media player. Reading in  this forum I have checked .Net Framework 4.5, have used the Fixt Tool. Have also followed suggestions  to use MedioInfo and  run codecs converters. MediaInfo was flagged as unsafe for my computer and because of the codecs convertor I now have an add-on from Jollywallet which I can not get un-installed.  Using Windows 7.

I created a video and I added two separate clips to make one video.  The first part of video does not appear.  I can see video clips on movie but when I press play a black screen with no video and no sound appears.  The second part of the video will play the video.  I added screens before and at end of videos to create credits and such.  I also added at first part of video the video stabilization - anti-shake and wobble to video.  I noticed it is not on second part of video.  

I have windows 8 and this is my first video project I have created.

Can anyone please suggest how to correct this problem??

No Thumbnails in Windows 7 Movie Maker 2012

After adding video from a home video DVD (.VOB file) the thumbnails are just gray.  If I click anywhere in the thumbnails the video will play in the preview window and I can edit the video.  No thumbnails does make a slow and tedious process when you can not see them.  Any thoughts?

movie maker stabilization feature

When I use the stabilization feature for a video imported to a project and save it, then close it and re-open it the video show up in the preview black and won't play the music or voice.  If I go back into the video, which shows on the project, and click on stabilization as "none" it will then work.  any ideas as to why it won't work after saving. 

I have had some work after saving.  All taken on the same camera.

Sync multiple videos in Windows Movie Maker

I have 3 videos of the same show but not all starting and finishing at the same time. But there is a part that the first and second video have together, and a part that the second and third  video have together that I could use as points to line them up, I just don't know how. Id like to make a video of all 3 together at once on the screen where the one that starts from the beginning would start, then the next two would come in at the points they start and have all 3 running in unison  so you can see the show from 3 different angles at the same time. How can I do this? Thanks

WebCam versus Import

Hi,

I've a sony DV PC9e and Movie maker will import live video captured from the camera.

Why then will the same video stream from the same camera not show in the webcam window?

Message is:-

Sorry MM can't record audio or video from the selected device. Make sure that the device is installed properly and not in current use by another program, then try again.

All advice gratefully received.
