Hotmail – Cannot connect to server

Hi,

Since this morning my hotmail refuses to open and says that there is an error with outlook. On my ipad it says that the connection to server failed. I don't know if this is a temporary problem or i've been blocked. Initially I thought my account was being hacked so I changed all security information and password. I even opitmised all my web browsers. It still fails to connect to my mail. This is extremely frustrating as I use my hotmail account a lot on a daily basis and I have been using it for 8 years without a problem until now.

Can someone help me out please?  Is there a microsoft hotline I can call to?

outlook locks up

Outlook will grey out and say it lost internet connection and it will recover, It never recovers and locks up.  I have to refresh web browser window to get it to unlock.  This tends to happen mostly when I am composing an email and it saves it to a draft.  This happens on 4 different machines (3 XP, 1 windows 7) and on 2 different web browsers firefox and IE. I have not tried it on any other web browsers or systems.
