junk mail not going into inbox as issue with safe sender domain

I can't seem to allow my inbox to accept my website domain into recognising emails that are safe, instead they go straight into my junkmail, I have tried going into email settings and allowing my domain to be a safe sender third party but it comes up with the error:An email address must be in the following format: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. A domain must be in the following format: example.com.

Currently my domain URL ends in .co.uk. why is this an issue?
