I've sent emails to a chat group I normally participate in. Never had a problem. Two of those emails have shown up in the 'sent' file of Outlook, but do not show the body of the email. When I initially try to delete them, a second version of that email
pops up with the body of the email. That one can be deleted. The one without the message causes the color wheel of **** spin when I try to delete it. The only way out is a force quit, restart, which doesn't do anything. The emails remain in the 'sent' file.
Any ideas? I've done force quit, restart, gone to the home webpage of the email address...nothing.
Why does my Mac Computer always bogg down while in Outlook.
I constantly have to force quit the program and restart Outlook in an effort to search, type or read my mail.
1 message may take up to 10 min to get out when it should only take a few seconds.
The color wheel / like the PC hourglass that is always popping up will freeze my mac for several minutes before going away......and then only to return seconds later.
Only in OUTLOOK FOR MAC
HELP PLEASE!

I have consistently had this same problem since installing Office for Mac 2011.
I should have use the help line when it was free.
Problem: When writing an email in Outlook, I constantly see the spinning wheel in between each key stroke. This spinning wheel caused a latency of from 3 to 10 seconds between each key stroke. It's driving me crazy and I have all but abandoned Outlook for other email programs. I visited the Outlook 2011 Forum but with no solution. I have checked "rules" I have deleted all the caches using "Cocktail". It looks like Outlook is looking for something between or checking for something with each key stroke.

After upgrading to mountain lion, outlook 2011 no longer operates properly. i have an exchange server. just trying to read an email is exhausting as the spinning wheel appears for 10 seconds and may or may not load email to read. accessing folders is
almost impossible. i have read and read and found no solution.
The rainbow wheel appears on the computer screen and the Outlook program is stalled quite regularly. It happens every time I click on the program for any function (estimated frequency = 20 -30 times per hour). It is negatively effecting my productivity.
Are there settings I can change to stop this? Is this just what you get when you run a Microsoft product on Mac? I don't have this problem with Word, Excel or Power Point - just Outlook.
Any advice will help
I get a spinning wheel every time I try to move from one item to another in my inbox. It may last up to 60-90 seconds. I'm also noticing sluggish behavior on other Office programs. Excel takes 60 seconds or more to load. I apparently have the most
recent software update. Any suggestions?
Hi,
I am running Outlook 2011 on my Mac and connecting to an exchnage serve in the US.
for some reason every time I get a calendar request, or simply access my calendar locally I get the spinning wheel of death for anything up to 5 minutes.
Eventually, if I'm patient, the meeting reesyed comes up, then once I press accept the wheel comes back for 1-3 minutes.
I have turned of all sync services between ical and outlook, but it still keeps happening.
I have rebuilt my identity multiple times, no change.
also the finder shows hundreds of OLK14_messages and notes
any help would be greatly appreciated.
I type 3 or 4 characters, then get the spinning wheel
Since a few days I'm experiencing the "micro-freezes" with Mac's spinning wheel in Outlook, and it is making it almost unusable.
Every few minutes, Outlook completely hangs and displays the spinning wheel for 3-4 seconds, during which anyway it buffers what I'm typing or clicking.
The issue does not happen when "Work Offline" is selected.
It worked quite well for about 6 months. Other colleagues had the same issue after a similar amout of time and switched to mail.app.
I am only using an Exchange account, over https. No pop, no imap.
I've read somewhere about problems with signatures, and I've tried to disable it: no changes.
I've disabled any Sync Service in Outlook: no changes.
I've rebuild Outlook's database: no changes.
I've looked at Wireshark while Outlook was running and didn't noticed anything strange before or after the freezes. Outlook's network activity stops during the freeze.
Outlook's Progress window doesn't show anything before, during or after the freezes.
I've enabled Outlook's Error Logs: nothing is shown.
Did anybody manage to solve the problem, or everybody just switched to mail.app?
I'll try to create a new Identity and start from scratch with it; I'm also going to try and switch from https to http. After that, I'll move to mail.app.
Thanks!
It hangs for about 15 seconds with the pin wheel spinning. really messing with my productivity.
