skydrive.exe crashes

The skydrive.exe (skydrive sync engine host) keeps crashing on my laptop. Does anybody get a solution to this?

PS I've tried the troubleshooter on this page and it didn't work.

Skydrive crashes when setting a file to be available offline in Windows 8.1 Ent RTM

It seems to be working and syncing fine for files that were already set to be available offline.  I don't know what changed.  Now, when I right click on a file under the skydrive folder and select "Make available offline", nothing appears to happen except that right clicking on any other item no longer brings up a context menu (if I navigate to a different folder and come back, the context menu works again).


Examination of the logs shows two events every time this happens.


I have no idea what to check next.  Any help?
