windows live gallery

hello   I want to know what the  new verison of  windows gallery is.   I had windows 7  and windows live gallery is installed.  I also wanted windows gallery if I  install it it takes windows live away.    which is the newest one. and I worked easier with windows gallery  .    please what is the newest version ?

Information pane in Windows Gallery not seen

I have Windows 7 and Photo Gallery and have been using it for many months without any trouble.  In the tag and caption pane I have been able to see the Information pane with file name, date etc. All of a sudden while working in PhotoGallery, a large white space appeared between the Description tags pane and the Information Pane so that all I can see is the Information Pane header and no details underneath.

I removed and reinstalled PhotoGallery but had the same problem.

Suggestions on how to fix it will be gratefully received
