Hi, I'm new to Windows 8 (aren't we all) and my primary Windows Live account is also my primary messenger account and this is the account that I log into Windows 8 with. All is going fine except I can't get Messaging working...
Messaging appears to want to use my login account (which is fine because that is also my Messenger account) but I am not visible to anyone a, I can't change from the Not Connected status, and it says, " we can't send a message at the moment"..
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks
PN
I am able to sign in to my Windows Live Account, but when I click the send/receive button I get the following message:
Server Error 0x8007zEFF
Server: https: // mail.services live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80072EFF
I have had a Windows Live account for many years using my Yahoo mail address as the ID. Today, I decided to shift to Hotmail, and I created a new Hotmail account to which I exported all my Yahoo mail contacts. In so doing, I created a second Windows Live account, which uses my Hotmail address as the ID. However, when I tried to close the old account, I was unable to complete the task. This gives rise to question (A).
As to question (B), I remember when I opened my Yahoo account years ago, I utilized an option offerred by Yahoo to advise each of my contacts of my new Yahoo address and to request that they use it from then on. I don't see a similar option in my new Hotmail account. It would be quite laborious to have to advise each Contact of my new preferred address individually. Is there a way to avoid this?
