windows live wont go online to receive or send emails

had issue two weeks ago but it got sorted out somehow....now here we are again....besides how to fixi it, any idea whats causing it

For the past few days i have received the following error from one of our msn accounts, the other one works fine

Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (brian_mcgrady) account.

Server Error: 0x800488EB
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800488EB

I have tried the other suggestions on the other various threads on the subject but after two days of trying the email account will not sync.

My wife has an msn account and that works fine as does my gmail account.

I can log into outlook and view emails on this account but not on windows live 2012

Please help.

Just to add....on another post someone changed their clock date back to the 1/05/14 and the account started to sync. i tried this and it worked also....but on returning the clock date to present time the same above error message appeared.

Microsoft has not fixed error yet. It is almost 2014 and still exist. When will it be fixed. Guess I will have to use other email account. I loved Hotmail never a problem.

I am having recurrent problems with Windows Live Mail. Sometimes I get the 3204 error message (Unable to send or receive messages: Server error 3204. Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0X8DE2003), and sometimes WLM will not open at all.  I employ a number of strategies to get it running: checking for mail stuck in the Outbox, deleting my two accounts then adding them back, running WNL diagnostic, repairing Essentials, uninstalling Essentials then reinstalling, running CCcleaner, running System Restore. Eventually something works, although I can never predict which. Frustratingly, the fix only lasts a few days...WLM has gone down five times since I started keeping a log on November 18. Where do I go from here?
