Original title: WLM and hotmail problem

Hi there

WLM retrieves mail from all previous email addresses including a previous hotmail.com address but I recently got a new hotmail.com and it won't sync it at all - it just says WLM is synchronising this account, please check again in a few minutes.... but nothing ever changes.

Can you help me with this at all please.  I'm getting very frustrated.

Cheers

I get really sich of this.

For months now I can't reach my mail with Windows Live Mail.

Looking for a solution I find a message about Windows Update not working?!?!

What has synchronizing my mail with Windows Update to do??

Also, I read similar problems with other error-codes and this is going on for years !!

Microsoft, write a decent WORKING e-mail program.

I am not far from switching to gmail which works EVERYWHERE: webmail, PC, phone...EVERYWHERE.

And a NORMAL addressbook, not one where I have duplicate contacts, contacts which I cannot delete.

Oh, and I didn't even mention the crappy Calandar....

Sigh...

Hi Folks!

Been a while since I've participated here on the Answers forums.

Not even sure if this is the correct forum for my question.

I use Windows 7, Windows Live Mail.

When I compose an email message and type in strings like:

123-45--67

It gets auto-corrected to:

123-45—67

I can not find a setting to stop this from happening. I even looked in the Office(?) Auto-correct library and nothing!

Any one have any ideas?

This question is cross posted here with no replies as of this writting:

I have read the previous posts regarding this error, including the one started by I JYoung on May 19, 2014, and apparently resolved for that user on May 30, 2014 by Cesar_E.  Unfortunately, the solution appears to have involved changes made to the accounts by Cesar_E, and I do not know what those changes are and am guessing that I'd probably be unable to implement them if I did.

As background, please note that I am running Windows Live Mail 2012 on Windows 7.  I am having problems with two email accounts, both receiving the above-referenced error message.  I have tried the fixes suggested (removing and reconfiguring the account, checked the Outbox, etc) with no success.  I am running Norton AV software, and have tried turning off the e-mail protection, again without any success.  The problem does not always occur, but does occur more often than not: I would estimate approximately 90% of the time.

I further note that my husband is running Windows Live Mail 2011 on Windows 7 on a different machine, and is not encountering this problem with these accounts.

Can someone offer some help to eliminate this problem?

I use Windows 8, Internet Explorer 11 for the web and Windows Live Mail for email. My problem is that some of the text etc. on the right-hand side and bottom of emails is cut off when printed. How do I correct this? I have try to adjust the margin and check the "Enable Shrink-to-fix" but it still the same, does not solve the problem. Can someone help?

I am unable to receive or send e-mail via Windows Live mail. Instead I receive the message

"

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail (gquick126) account.

Server Error: 4402
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00002"

Can anyone help me please so that I can once more use Windows Live Mail, many thanks.

The hyperlinks are there in blue and the mouse changes format to the hand to click on them, but when I click nothing happens except they turn color to dark purple.  When I click on the ? button in the windows live email page nothing happens either.  I'm on Windows 8.1 and I'm not sure if I got a virus or what???

There was a bubble that disappeared really quickly saying something about a virus but it was too quick to read.  I have done two scans with my purchased eset NOD32 antivirus 7 software which detected 2 threats and cleaned them up.  I have restarted my laptop about 6 times now,  checked my settings on both IE and WLM to see if everything was checked off and it seems to be fine.

Please help! I'm going nuts!  lol  Thank you!
