I'm currently using Windows Live Movie Maker for windows vista to produce a film for a project but when I add movies/videos only 7 seconds of it appears and it is all black. I have previously used WLMM in January and it worked fine. My file types are all .AVI which is what I used in January so I don't think that there should be a problem there? Also none of the videos are extremely high quality or have a long duration. I also tried to place some of the footage I used back in January to see if that would play and it didn't. It seems to be rejecting all of my files even if they previously worked only 2 months ago. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
I am using windows movie 2009 on windows7 Professional.
When I add a video (mpg) I get the following message:
Windows live movie maker has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Never received a solution can anyone help.
So, okay. I tried to download an installer of Windows Live Movie Maker but everytime it finishes installing, it will always show something like this.
Can you suggest something that I could do? I'm sorry I'm not that tech savvy, so please. BTW, I'm using Windows 8 64-bit. :) Thank you!
OK, so I make a project with about twenty .JPG files and two .wav audio files. It lasts about four seconds. When I'm done I click "Save Movie" and I export it as a .wmv file. There are no error messages during editing or exporting. It says my movie has been saved successfully but when I try and watch it with Windows Media Player, it can't play the file and I get an error. I've also tried to save my movie as an .mp4 file, and I get the same error.
My OS is Windows 7 32-bit.
I have a DVD that was made using Windows Live Movie Maker. How do I convert this back into individual photos? I have no backup files of this and don't want to ruin the movie but would rather have photos for editing. Windows Vista
