Hi,

I am using WLMM to create video (around 2 minutes long) and it does not playback the video smoothly or just stops during a playback which is making it very difficult to edit.

I have looked at the driver using the dxdiag command that was suggested in other posts similar to this one.

Main driver: igdum64.dll,I gd,10umd64.dll,igd10um (can't read rest of driver)
Version: 8.15.10.2712
Date: 27/03/2012
Whql logo'd: yes
DDI version: 11
Driver model: wddm1.1

I am using WLMM version 2011 (build 15.4.3508.1109)

Majority of the video is from sony handycam and are .mpg files.  Also have some footage from ipad which is .mov file, there is no difference in functionality of either type of file, both get 'stuck'.

Using a Lenovo Z580 laptop which has windows 7.

I will try the window fix-it suggested in the other similar threads however I am worried that your link took me to 'PC utility kit' by red dog media and that this is a virus?

I would be grateful for suggestions in how to solve the problem of the choppy playback as I really want to finish creating the movie.
Thanks
Claire

When I use WLMM the audio doesn't work, you cant hear anything. While and after using it,  the whole audio of my computer stops working, on the internet, saved videos, music, nothing works, I have to restart my computer if I want to here any volume.

Why dose this happen and how can I fix it?
P.s. I have windows 8.

I am trying to publish a project with the audio in a lossless format. The audio is in wav files before being downgraded by producing the movie. After realizing that even producing to HD quality video, audio is saved to a very lossly 192 kbps. I found some great tutorials for creating profiles using Windows Media Profile Editor, downloaded the software, learned how to use it, created a profile to save to preferred audio settings, and then discovered that the tutorials were only valid on the Windows Live Movie Maker for Vista; Windows Live Movie Maker 2011 would not recognize my newly created profile. Is there any way to use the older (but obviously more robust) Vista version of Windows Live Movie Maker with Windows 7? If so, can I save down my project to work with the Vista version? Are there any other fixes to keep audio in lossless format with Windows Live Movie Maker? TIA.

The videos I edit are from GoPro and my Canon HD camcorder.  After editting with Windows Live Movie maker, they come out very light in color as if a brightness filter has been added.

I have been trying to edit a video me and my friends made and when I import the clips into windows live movie maker (MOV File) the clips are just a plain green. I still get audio but no picture. I have ran "dxdiag" and "Microsoft FixIt" but nothing was found that was wrong. I know that someimes .MOV files don't work as well with windows live movie maker and I have tried to convert them to other file formats such as WMV but I keep getting the same result. Sometimes it will say some of my footage is corrupted or missing even though its right there on my desktop. If anyone could please help that would be great.

Thanks.
I've never had a problem with videos before untill I got a new camera. I make YouTube videos so I got a new hd camera (1080p) I was editing the clips, and splitting them. When I watch it back, it's all fine. After I save the video then watch it, the parts I have split, either split to late or too early and mucks up the whole video. Please can someone help me, it's very frustrating!

I have created a movie with credits in movie maker.  When I play it in the preview, it looks fine, but when I save it, the credits cut off.  Roughly the last page of text does not appear in the scroll, but the movie is still playing.  So, instead of seeing the last part of the credits scroll by, all you see is an empty black screen for about 6 seconds until the movie ends.  I've tried saving the movie twice, and this happened both times.  Can anyone help me figure out what's going on here or how I can fix this?

I was having problems with windows live movie maker crashing so I updated all the updates related. then movie maker live disappeared from the start menu and was replaced by movie maker. which prompts a warning that my computer doesn't meet the requirements, and to update drivers, which I did. now what?
Thanks all

I finished editing my project and would like to save it as a video, but I keep receiving error messages: 0x87260103 and 0x87160139. I've looked up several forum posts about the same issue, but /none/ of the suggested steps have helped. Please help!!

Here are the details: I recorded a bunch of clips (.mov) on my Nikon D5100 DSLR camera in HD and was chopping them up to create a video. I took some photos too (.jpg) and added some music that I purchased online (.mp3). All of the video/photo content is saved on the SD card from the camera (I forgot to transfer it over to my computer before I started, but it's too late at this point), but I haven't removed or ejected or even touched the SD card since I put it into the computer. When I go to save the file as a completed video, it fails to complete and gives me one of the two above error messages. There are no ! signs on any of the clips. I tried starting a test project file using just one clip I recorded with my camera with no editing (I took it straight from the SD card like in the original project and didn't save it to my computer first). The file saved successfully in HD. What the heck am I doing wrong?? Someone please help! I've worked so hard on this, and I don't want to have to start over.

Thanks,

C
I use it to edit videos captured with Fraps and Nvidia Shadowplay, but whenever I try to play the preview not only is there no sound, but all audio that my entire computer was playing cuts out, and I have to restart my computer to be able to hear audio from any source.
