Hello, I am Astelin and I am reporting an issue I excessively keep coming in to on Windows Live Movie Maker. Now, If there is anything I need to do I can, I am not dumb with computers I have a lot of knowledge with them. The image above is telling you my issue. The AVI file is compatible with the program because I have used AVI files before the error you can see. When I insert this file that is corrupted.. it turns half of the other clips into black screens as well. The "How do I fix this problem" link don't help... It does not give me my info It shows up as corrupted when it is in place and everything works okay and I haven't modified any of the files in anyway. This error popup I guess is giving me the wrong info. Thanks for reading this thread I hope you can help me.

I used to edit movies with Windows Live Movie Maker but now the videos don't play with sound. They all play fine in Windows Media Player and all other media players I have on my computer.
Tried closing and reopening it a few times, uninstalling and reinstalling it, searched the problem online, and nothing works! The videos are .MOV and .AVI files. I have WLMM 2012 on Windows 8.1.
I can no longer publish videos on YouTube because of this OBTRUSIVE problem! MICROSOFT, IF YOU WANT TO KEEP MAKING MONEY FIX THIS MAYHEM!
Hello :) I bought a new computer with Windows 8. The latest version of the Windows Live Movie Maker has changed and it's difficult to edit the type of videos I make.
My last computer had Windows Vista on it and I started making my movies in 2010 with whatever version was available at the time. Several years later I noticed Movie Maker upgraded. I had more fonts available and a few other options.
I tried to uninstall the Windows 8 version of Movie Maker and I installed an older version of Movie Maker and it had just the basic fonts. None of the extra fonts, that appeared when I upgraded on Windows Vista, were on this older version. How do I get the Windows Live Movie Maker that came out in 2010 - 2012 w/ the extra fonts ? Sry, I don't know the versions and I hope this makes sense but can anyone help me ?
Thank u,
RC
