I want to slow mo a clip but the options to do that are not there and i'm frustrated, it is no where on YouTube and i don't know what to do.

                                                                                           PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

I use a Sony Handycam HD camcorder to shoot family videos.  Windows Live Movie Maker to edit them on a Windows 7 ASUS laptop...

When I view the file prior to import, the video plays fine.  When I view the footage in Movie Maker everything looks fine.  When I publish the file (tried a number of different formats) it messes the footage up.  Hard to describe, but picture what your HD signal TV looks like when it's struggling with reception.

I tried the YouTube video editor on the same files and everything works fine.  So I've decided it has to be in the export / publish stage of WMM....  Appreciate any and all help I can get.  Happy to share additional information if needed.

I used to have windows live movie maker on my windows 7 computer I updated it to movie maker and it was all fine, but in an attempt to get windows live movie maker back I deleted movie maker completely from my computer, including all the folders and files which contained it,then when I tried to get it back, using windows essentials,it installs and just says 'done' but movie maker is not anywhere on my computer,or my downloads or anywhere!i've tried everything and I can't get it back,it's something I need as we'll! Is it because I deleted the folders?help!?
I can log into YT but not through Windows Live Movie Maker.
The name and password are the same on  Windows and YT to help solve the problem.
The issue only began after adding google plus a few days ago.
I have not been able to load the video to YT directly as I can't seem to save it to their liking.
I am just very upset.

The video that I created is about 30 minutes long with a lot of pictures, photos, and music in jpg/mpg/mp3 formats.    Windows live movie maker was able to save one movie to my computer just fine, but when I tried to save another version for high resolution display, it continuously gives me the error.  Now when I try to save the movie in any other format (burn to DVD or to computer), it errors out as well.  I have a fairly new laptop...only 3 months old running on Windows 7.  I've tried to go into the software property under Compatibility to select Windows Vista, but that didn't fix it.  I also tried to use the repair option in the Add/Remove Software category, but that didn't fix it either.  Below is the error detail.  What else can I try to fix this?

So, I have Windows Live Movie Maker 2011 on my laptop; I think that means it's like version 15 or 15.4 or something? Anyways, it's WLMM 2011..

It used to work just fine; I made almost 25 videos for my YouTube channel on it. Then, almost exactly a week ago (tomorrow will be a week), I saw that it could update, so I figured okay, why not update to the latest version? BIG mistake. It updated to the 2012 version, which cannot run on my computer, since my laptop is about 3-ish years old, so it doesn't meet the minimum requirements and such. I completely uninstalled it, and then went to go and re-download the 2011 version so I could go back to making videos, but then once I did that... WLMM 2011 no longer works on my computer! It says my computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements. I found that strange, considering that's what I was using before, yet now that I got it back, it keeps giving me that error message.

I looked at the minimum requirements, and apparently it says that your processor needs minimum 2.4GHZ, but mine apparently only has 2.2GHZ? I don't get how that's possible if my computer used to run WLMM 2011 before?

If it helps, my operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, build 7601), and I use the latest version of Google Chrome as my web browser, if that means anything.

I tried restoring my computer to an earlier time before I updated to WLMM 2012 and ruined everything, but before I had that idea, I ended up removing/uninstalling a bunch of other programs I didn't need on my computer, so now the earliest time I can restore my computer to is already past the point where I've been having this problem, so it won't help me.

If anyone can please help, that would be greatly appreciated! I have close to 500 subscribers on my YouTube channel and promised some requests before all this happened, and I really don't want to (and can't) disappoint or annoy them.. and I need that version of WLMM to make my videos properly. If you need any more details, please let me know and I'll provide them.

Thank you so much for your time!

Hello,

I am having the same problem. I get the "Sorry, windows live movie maker cant start" error, even though my system meets all the specified requirements.

I have followed the instructions and collected all the logs and diagnostic reports.. Can I send them to you for your advice please?
