I am a NEW Windows 8 User.  I previously used Vista with Windows Mail.  I am not a Business.  For years I have had Email Groups to Friends & Family.  Today, I sent my first email to one of my Groups, and Hot Mail would not send it.  Why do I even need Hot Mail?  I know that a Microsoft Employee spent nearly 3 hours to set up my new mail account.  My Primary email address is (removed by the moderator)  Some how my wife's name, Jo, has become the primary sender.  That is incorrect.  We have other email addresses that are all linked to this account.  They are (removed by the moderator); and (removed by the moderator).  I cannot function with limits on my email groups beyond what I have had during the past 6-8 years.  Please call me at (removed by the moderator)or (removed by the moderator)so this problem can be solved...JERRY CUDNEY (removed by the moderator)

Is there a way to set an email background to black in Windows Live Mail?  Seems there ought to be since you can set the font to white.  I did this in Windows Mail for sending pictures since pics look better against a black background. If a black background cannot be set in Live Mail, what email software do you recommend for this?

Thanks.

Replaced  Inspiron 1525(Windows Mail)  with  Inspiron 15R. Email is now Windows Live & Canon MP Navigator will not send email. Suggests to enable MAPI. Where is MAPI?
In windows live mail, I'd like to select a custom font style (segoe print) and keep it for all my emails....how do I do this? I have it set up on windows mail, works fine. Thx, NB
I bought a new computer. I added it to my home network and transferred data from my old computer to my new computer using the network. I started up Windows Live Mail on my new computer and used  'file import' to bring in my old email files.  The 'import' function saw and imported my 'Windows Mail' files (I used Windows Mail on my old computer through 2009, then switched to Windows Live Mail), but it couldn't see or import my 'Windows Live Mail' files. I know the old Windows Live Mail email files are there, but I can't figure out why Windows Live Mail can't see them or how to import them. Any suggestions?
i need help, i'm trying to move mails from pc (windows mail, not windows live mail) on to my mac office, but the mails on windows mail is elm and that i can't move into mac office, cause this only accepts pst or olm..... what do i do?
I use Windows Live Main 2011 on my windows-7 PC as the mail program through which I access all my email accounts. I have just created a new Outlook.com email address for myself but cannot find out how to add this new account to Windows Live Mail because I cannot find out what IMAP and SMPT values I should enter when configuring this new account.  Where do I find out this information for an Outlook.com email account?

Account: 'pop.charter.net', Server: 'POP.charter.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [IN-USE] account is locked by another session or for maintenance, try again.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

This is the error msg I get after I type in user name and password - over and over and over and over.  Phone call to tech support is one BIG JOKE.
