i have 2 hotmail accounts and use Windows Mail for one and Windows Live Mail for the other.  Both accounts have top level folders and subfolders which i have created myself.  But when i have setup the Windows and Live Mail programs to sync with hotmail/live email accounts these folders do not appear in the programs.  Please help!!!
I'm trying to transfer some emails to folders and then onto a flash drive.  I understand that Hotmail won't allow me to save the emails to a flash drive...or anywhere else for that matter.  I was told I could use Thunderbird or Windows Live Mail and incorporate them into folders that way.  My question is this: I use Hotmail and Windows Mail.  Is Windows Live Mail different than either of these?
I currently use Windows Mail and have several accounts on it.  If I download and install Windows Live Mail (I think I need it to be able to also add a hotmail account, which is not possible with Windows Mail) then will all my emails and folders, etc. automatically be transferred into Windows Live Mail or do I need to transfer them manually?  Is there any danger of losing information when doing so?  Cheers, Torsten.
