I have lost access to windows messenger

What happened to the majority of my contacts when I upgraded from Windows Messenger to Skype?

I recently "upgraded" from Windows Messenger to Skype expecting my contacts to be carried over. Instead, I lost most of my Yahoo contacts or they were replaced with Skype contacts. How do I get them back? If I login to my hotmail account, I can see all the IM's I missed as a result of this issue.

I am trying to add contact in windows messenger but its not accepting the yahoo IDs. Even if someone adding me from yahoo messenger, then the invitation coming to me after accepting still pending notification to accept this contact.

I cannot sign in to windows messenger /hotmail on my Motorola Zoom Android Tablet.

I can sign in fine on my work & per. computer and know p/w is not wrong. Is it something to do with Android or Google being primary app? I can pull up MSN site fine and go to sign in messenger but then will not accept my site name and p/w.

I can get on to my hotmail another way without the p/w but not if I try to sign in thru MSN site or if I go to Messenger sign in.

I had all windows live which includes messenger ,one day it just disapeared,I tried to download it again and it says I already have the lastest messenger installed,if so, I cannot find it.I click on start menu and type windows messenger but it does not show up,I also went in programs to see if it's installed and it's not there so what do I do? I want windows messenger back,Ok I'm using windows 7,OS,HP Touchsmart All-In-One computer 64.my hotmail account I usually got through messenger i would click on inbox,any and all help would be appreciated... Windows instant messenger wont open

Hi guys I signed up for a windows messenger account and downloaed windows essentials after installing widows essentials windows live mail refused to open and i got the following messages wlidcli.dll is missing from your computer, then when i closed that window i got another message msmail.dll could not be loaded. I did a system restore and was able to use windows live again no problems. So i downloaded just the instant messenger part of windows essentials and it seemed to install ok. I can sign in but the instant messenger window does not appear when i click on its icon. does any body know whats going on or what i am doing wrong?

I want to turn off messenger so that it does not load at startup. I don’t use it at all. So how do I do that? Running Windows 7. New machine 3 weeks old.

Just got a new computer, Windows 7. No longer have Outlook Express for e-mail, so in setting up Windows Live Mail, I also got Windows Messenger. So now it loads at Start-Up. I have been unable to find any method to keep it from doing so. It's just that every time I start the computer, I have to click it off because I will not use Instant Messenger. Thanks for any help.

Why does my Messenger icon keeps disappearing from my Taskbar?

I have been using Live email for about 2 months now and only use Messenger so I am alerted to new email. This morning I logged into Windows Messenger from the taskbar, it logged me in, alerted me to my emails but when I clicked on it it vanished from the screen and from the taskbar. I went into Start menu and clicked on Messenger, logged on, it alerted me to my emails, then vanished etc etc. So I went into my email page via www.live.co.uk and it tells me I am logged onto Meseenger and listed some friends that were also logged on, but I cant get the Messenger screen/list up? I havent changed any settings - and have stried to click onto the menu to look at my settings but Messenger justs vanished!

Any help would be good - I'm not great with computers though :-(
