I made quite the video on Movie Maker. It's a music a video of sorts with cuts of the band playing (both live and the music video) mixed with video of certain things from the Civil Rights movement. It all ends with a bang where the last minute is a cascade of pictures timed perfectly to a constant drum beat during the last minute. I worked for 6+ hours and I was finally satisfied with the timing and ready to save it.
This is where the problem arises. The timing has been thrown off ever so slightly. It seems to have been a tad sped up. The transitions weren't perfect in Movie Maker, but that's what gave it the timing I wanted (I should add I didn't manually insert any transitions. I'm simply referring to the natural transition between clips). The saved file has cleaned the transitions up a bit to the detriment of the timing. I don't want to go back in a manually change the timing, because I'd go mad.
I'm a total amateur at this. Is there a setting that just translates the exact Windows Movie Maker product to a movie file?
Windows Movie Maker started to lock up while I was using it. Thankfully, I had recently saved my project. I exited the program and then started it up again. When I tried to open up my project, i got error code 80070057 : Windows Movie Maker cannot open the file... it is not compatible... or.... the file is corrupted.
Please help because this was a project for school. I was almost done and now it is gone ;( I've tried so many things but nothing seems to be working....
It gives me an error message saying that I need to check my system specs but they are all up to the requirements. The problem started the second I deleted photo gallery. I recently purchased a drawing tablet as well but I don't think that that would interfere.
I'm unsure of what to do and I need to get movie maker working again. I tried reinstalling windows essentials since that is the only thing that I can find. I am hesitant to delete movie maker since I cannot find a copy anywhere.
Please help.

Microsoft devs,
Windows Movie Maker 2012 was updated.
The latest version is version 2012 [build 16.4.3528.0331].
So besides the version number, what changed in Windows Movie Maker?
Later,
Larry
Hi
I have attempted to use Windows Movie Maker but get the message:
"Sorry, Movie Maker can't start. Make sure that your computer meets the minimum requirements before trying ti start Movie Maker again, then try to update the driver for your video card if Movie Maker still doesn't start."
Running:
Windows 7 Home Premium
4GB RAM
231GB available space
DirectX 11
Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
Driver Version 8.15.10.2266
DDI Version 10.1
Driver Model WDDM 1.1
I have checked that the driver is up to date using Device Manager.
I have deleted & re downloaded Movie Player from Microsoft site (Both 2012 & current version).
Windows Photo Gallery opens fine
Please help resolve
