i downloaded windows movie maker yesterday and here's the issue: i can import wmv files (i converted all my video files to wmv via freemake which i thought would be fairly reliable; i even converted all the ones that are already wmv into new wmv files via freemake, which is very telling of my level of desperation) into the movie maker, i can play them (there's audio AND video) in the 'collection' box directly, but once i drag it into the timeline to be edited and i play the video in the timeline, there is NO video. i can still hear the audio part but the video itself blacks out, which is very puzzling because it plays just fine when i'm not trying to edit it. i hope i make sense...
my laptop is barely two months old and i use windows 8.1. i downloaded the maker from http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows7/products/features/movie-maker yesterday.
would really, REALLY appreciate help; many thanks in advance!
I have recently downloaded the latest version of Windows Movie Maker. I downloaded a recent video I have taken, and edited the clips - cutting out parts I didn't need. & also added some titles & captions. When playing back the finished 'project' (before saving it as a finished movie) there is a gap of probably only 1 second between each of the clips, both in video & sound. I thought maybe this would disappear when saved as a movie so I saved it . I then burned it to DVD. When playing back the DVD, - there is still a very tiny gap between each clip, both in video and in sound. Its only about a second but is very off putting. Also - the DVD will play on another computer but not on our home DVD player. As you can guess I am not an expert in computers etc otherwise I may not have had these problems
Hopefully someone will be able to get back to me with an explanation & advice I what I am doing wrong!
I recently downloaded the newest edition of WMM... like 2 months ago...
I started into a video, saved it, then closed out. Tonight I went back into the video and it is capturing all 37 pictures as one file. It wont display the title's or captions and does not distinguish the pictures or music from any of it. Basically I have one file to click on. For instance, I clicked on the portion where you edit the video and it is all one file. It can all be deleted simultaneously. How do I break it back apart into individual pictures and audio? Is this a problem with my view? I want to reformat the music as well as move pictures but it doesn't show any of it.
Thanks,
Lindsay
Hello!
I'm trying to work on a project with Windows Movie Maker, which contains multiple audio files.
I've read through some previous threads, and I saw that I should save the project and then import it again because
it will save both the video and audio file and I can add another audio file on top of that. However whenever I import the saved file, the audio is always gone, but
the video is still there. Obviously I'm missing a step.
Can anyone help?
Thanks!
Hello,
After spending hours making a slideshow with music and animations on Windows Movie Maker, I encounter the same issue when burning the DVD. I followed instructions provided by a moderator in a post, highlighting the same problem.
However, upon burning the DVD and playing it, the images are all blurry, have a red tint and are overly saturated. The weird thing is that when I save the file and play it on my computer, everything looks fine. The issue appears when burning the file on a DVD.
Greatly appreciate any help!
