I'm new to Windows 7 but that is what is on my new PC. When ever I open my e-mail it is always minimized; this is using Windows Mail hotmail. My old PC used to do that after repairs sometimes but would always go back to large screen after a few times of maximizing it. Really getting old. Any ideas?

I am now unable to access my 10 year old Hotmail account.  Last Friday I bought a new laptop with Windows 8 on it.  I thought I used my correct email when setting up my computer, but now it has a new weird email address that appears on my sign in screen of my laptop.  My new weird  email automatically switched to Outlook and now I am no longer able to log into my old Hotmail address - it says it does not exist!  I can't help but think that my old (now missing!) Hotmail account is gone because of this Windows 8/Outlook setup.  #1 - I want my old Hotmail address back and active which includes TONS of saved emails.  #2 - I want this new/weird email disasociated from my new laptop and old email address.  I have been looking into this for the last 48 hours and found no help online PLUS no tech support phone number.  This whole mess is very frustrating, bad for business (I have emails going to that "missing" account that I need) and disappointing.  Someone please help restore my old account.  I have used it for 10 + years.

I have windows 7 and use Windows Live mail for my email.  I have put it through the repair mode 3 times.  Sometimes it will not open.  Most time it will not close and I have to go through the motions of shutting down to clear it.  Any Suggestions?

i do not want windows live running on start up. how do I stop it from loading on Windows start up?
After a new account was set up last night the message appeared: "Windows Live is synchronizing this account. Check back in a few minutes to read your messages".  The few minutes extended now to 30 hours and the  same message still there and the new account inacitve. What gives? If I may add a second question: Didn't want to set up a brand new account but add the name of the new account to an older account as an alternative, the idea being to get rid of the ending .ca and use .com instead. But .com was not offered, why is that?

When Windows Live Messnger opened up until about a week ago, I had selections MSN, News, Entertainment, this page used to be chock full of "what's happening now", I enjoyed it.  Now, for some reason in the upper left below my picture, all I can click on is Social.  Even then it says "loading" but never does.  Of course I'm not social at all.

I would like to have the page like it was, msn news which covered everthing, I think MSNnow, and right now I can't remember everything it had.  I've tried everything, can someone help me.

Hello Community,

I just installed Windows Live Mail 2012, but when I receive mail now, I do not get notifications in the bottom right of my screen (toasts).  Has this been removed from 2012 or is there something wrong with my install?

Thank you,

Michael
