I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8 over the weekend. I was forced to do a PC refresh and re-install Windows 8 a second time in order for it to work on my laptop. I find now that the PC refresh erased my Contacts from Windows Live Mail that I was
using on Windows 7. I am able to recover the Contacts files from my online backup prior to the upgrade. But is there a way for me to import them into the People app or at least to open the file to get the info to manually add some of my contacts into people?
I have lost some important email addresses that I did not have stored elsewhere. They were backed up.....
Windows Live Mail recently started handing up in the mail download cycle, I.e. the download status box displays it is receiving a continuous stream of emails that do not exist. The download count keeps growing until I stop it. Any ideas what's wrong?
I tried setting up my employers email in Outlook 2011 for Mac. Because this version is missing features that have been in Outlook for Windows for years, that just won't work, so I deleted that account. I then set up another account, which works... but
I still get errors that have to do with the old account. How do I completely remove all references to the old, deleted account? And why wasn't that done when I deleted the account from Outlook config?
I can't seem to get my songs that I'm listening to from iTunes and Windows Media Player to my MSN Messenger Status. Why is that?
When I opened myWindows Livw Hotmail Account I set it up to receive emails from my Virgin account. I no longer want this, so I removed the Virgin acaccount from the list of accounts, but the Virgin emails are still coming in to Windows Live Hotmail. How
can I stop this?
I recvd an email stating that some of my account was being blocked and I needed to provide certain information. This came from Windows Live Team. Is this a legitimate email request?
I like Outlook.com very much, especially the e-mail address. However, I prefer the functionality and layout of Windows Live Mail.
Can I use WLM with my new Outlook.com e-mail address. If so, then how do I set it up please.

Windows Live Mail launches with a black background and very dark gray text. This is also the background and text of the left navigation panel. The message windows are black on white, but the rest of WLM is dark gray on black. I also cannot detect a
scroll slider on the left panel and text outside the message panels gets overlaid/overwritten.
