I am connected to the internet--i can send emails but for the last 2 days can't receive them.
All of a sudden i can't get yahoo mail. "Outlook cannot connect to the server. Verify that your computer is connected to the network." error code 3260.
I'm trying to link an Yahoo Mail account ( for sending - receiving mails ) and I receive an error message "Check your email address and password, but the problem may be that Yahoo! requires you to subscribe to Yahoo! Mail Plus."
My Yahoo's POP settings are OK ( Yahoo's support team has approved it ).
I am not able to complete the POP send/recieve setup of my Yahoo mail account in Outlook.com. I am getting the following error message

I do not have a Yahoo Plus account, but as of the last yahoo upgrade this is no longer required. Free accounts have been enabled to use POP. This is what I have done:
-- I have enabled POP in my Yahoo account. I have already configured pop access in gmail and it is working fine, so the problem is not in Yahoo.
-- I have cleared my browser cache, and tried in both Chrome and IE8
-- I have entered all of the proper POP settings and ensured that my password is correct.
-- My Yahoo user name does not match my Outlook user name
Please let me know what I have to do to fix this.

I have a live.com email address that maybe been hack.
When i input my password it's show my id been hack and need to send security code to my alternative email.
I already choose to send the security code in my alternative email but i don't received any email in my alternative email.
My alternative email is yahoo.com. Is it any error with yahoo mail?
Please help about this. I need to check some old email in that email address.

i asked my friend to send me an email(btw he is using a yahoo mail), and it didn't land on my inbox, i gave him twice my email and i do believe he didn't had a typographical error in that.. i also believe that recently some messages that i expect to receive
aren't coming. i checked options on my outlook if it's really..really.. that filtered but no, it's just normal. it the site is untrusted or what is should still go to junk mail right? but why isn't there anything? thanks hope you guys could help

I'm a long time user of Yahoo mail, but am disgusted with all the new "improvements". They do nothing but make the service more difficult or impossible to use. So I need to get out, but I've a ton of sorted email and thousands of contacts. How do make
a smooth transfer to Outlook mail??
why can't they have an app that allows you to check more than one account. c'mon, do we really all have just one email address? I didn't think so. the yahoo mail app, lets you check multiple accounts at once. now that's what i'm talking about!
I have a paid account, my credit card details has changed and forgot to update my profile, i got and alert from Microsoft
billing about that and instruction to go to the site https://commerce.microsoft.com to enter my credit card details, for my bad luck it requires a verification through another Yahoo mail which o haven't used for years, i tried with another verification method through my mobile, got a 4 digit verification
code, entered it ..
It was a surprise that I have to wait one moth for security profile to be updated !!
It simply stops there and I'm afraid that I will lose the access to my account which is a disaster since I'm receiving a lot of important emails on it.
Can somebody help with this !!

All I see are references to aliases.... huh??? I don't want an alias... I just want a basic email account. But for the life of me, I see no way to do that. I guess I need to keep looking for a different alternative to Yahoo Mail.
If it is this difficult to figure out how to set up a simple email account, it must be a nightmare to actually try to use it.
