Cannot set up POP in Outlook.com with Yahoo Mail

I am not able to complete the POP send/recieve setup of my Yahoo mail account in Outlook.com.  I am getting the following error message 

"Check your email address and password, but the problem may be that Yahoo! requires you to subscribe to Yahoo! Mail Plus. Learn more "

I do not have a Yahoo Plus account, but as of the last yahoo upgrade this is no longer required.  Free accounts have been enabled to use POP.  This is what I have done:

-- I have enabled POP in my Yahoo account.  I have already configured pop access in gmail and it is working fine, so the problem is not in Yahoo.
-- I have cleared my browser cache, and tried in both Chrome and IE8
-- I have entered all of the proper POP settings and ensured that my password is correct.
-- My Yahoo user name does not match my Outlook user name

Please let me know what I have to do to fix this.

Hello,
        i had setup my domain tycotyler.com with outlook.com and i can sent my mail to gmail and yahoo but i cant receive mails from outside. and also proper update my DNS with mx and txt record it shows me prove your domain ownership again.

Yahoo ID using my email address, but it’s not mine.

I only started using my new email yesterday, and today I got a message in my inbox that said that my Yahoo ID pass word had been changed.  Thing is, it's nothing to do with me.  Thing is I'm not sure if whoever has used my email address has done it on purpose, maybe they had a similar email address to mine or something. When I thought someone was trying to use my account for something bad I clicked on the link in the email to reset the Yahoo ID password again, and there was a mobile phone number and another email address listed to send the reset request to , so I'm really unsure what to do next.  I have an old Yahoo Messenger ID and have tried contacting the user via that, but other than that I'm not sure what action to take next.  The mobile number and other email address aren't show completely so I can't use them to try and get to the bottom of this. 

Obviously if this Yahoo_ID is being used for something dodgy I don't want it associated with my new email, but I've not got any clue what to do about it.  There have been no suspicious emails sent from 'me', so I really don't think I've been compromised.

I STILL do not receive my hotmail emails on my iphone 4s.

first it started with some randomly not coming through however now it just doesnt work. I have tried deleting the mail fromy my phone and setting it all up again but it doesnt work.

PLEASE HELP. I am having to switch ALL my emails to Yahoo. SO FRUSTRATING!!!! fix it already please?

(it is so ironic that there is a box below this post which needs to be ticked to be notified when someone responds to this post. I am assuming the notification will be through email. Great.

I cant send or receive emails. I don’t know how to get back to the area to fix this.

Hello. I was informed by Outlook that I was supposed to receive my security code yesterday. I believe it was to be sent to another email address (in Yahoo). It has not come. Yahoo link lost again … MS website is using the wrong Yahoo address

Yahoo POP dropped again. Last July it took me 5 wks to fix. Outlook .com is using the wrong server address. and I when I fixit I am rejected.

 Windows Live 2011 fills in  the right addresses. 

Please don't reply unless you have an answer regarding the server address. The correct  Yahoo Plus server addresses are : plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com  &  plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com

 I will not go back and forth with forum users and moderators that have no ability to fix your web code!

using OUTLOOK abroad by satelite

I could not access OUTlook whilst onboard ship and  free wifi abroad using IE. Eventually I searched Hotmail this was fine. 

I used an old YAHOO account for most of the time tho worked perfectly all of the time everywhere.

What is the point of a worldwide account (Outlook) if it doesn't access worldwide.  

If it wasn't for the the huge amounts of rubbish spam I'd go back to YAHOO forth with.
