I am on an APPLE Mac, using Firefox. There are absolutely NO viruses, etc. on my machine! Cookies are allowed. Cache/history are cleared every 2-3 days. I have clicked the bypass notice each time in order to read e-mail since the code NEVER EVER shows up on the Yahoo acct. (which allows ALL mail from Outlook). I am so p!zz3d because after YEARS of Hotmail with very few problems, I have had NON-STOP problems from day 1 with Outlook!
ALL contacts were told to use the Yahoo e-mail until further notice when the 2nd attempt for a code failed. IF I am locked out of my e-mail here after Thursday, I am basically sqr3w3d for e-mail as main account!
I have seen HUNDREDS of similar complaints as mine and hardly anyone is getting it fixed.
I fully expect to be locked out of MSN/Outlook by Thursday at this rate.

I can not download any attachement from my hotmail from any PC but I can if I use other email such Yahoo.
there is a display message say(internet explorer blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors.
I have a Yahoo Mail Plus Account and have tried to have it forward to my Outlook.com account. I have tried to have it do so with a "send only" account as well as a "send and receive" account. In Outlook.com when I try to set up with the "send and receive" account it says I need to have Yahoo Plus. I have had Yahoo Plus for a long time, and it always comes up with this message, and will not complete the forwarding. I do not receive that message for a "send only" account, however, the "send only" doesn't forward my E-Mails from Yahoo so it is useless.
In many of the responses on this topic you have private E-Mail communications. No problem with me except that it doesn't provide a solution for users like myself. Can you please help me and perhaps others on this forum with this problem. It seems to be a common issue, that has yet to be resolved.
Hi Eugene,
As requested.
I uploaded Outlook error message snippit and PC Windows Live snippit of Yahoo mailbox showing received e-mail as of today.
This verifies that I have a Plus account but the POP3 connection does not work from Outlook.com,
It does not matter which IP is use.(as suggested in one reply.
I tried from my office same problem. Home machine Win7 Office WinXP.
BTW my provider is Verizon and i works from their site and Yahoo response to to ask Microsoft... so you see the delema.
Thanks for your help.

With no change on my end my POP mail from Yahoo to Outlook stopped working! July 22 2013;
I deleted and attempted to re-enter.
It says I don't have Plus account.. wrong!
I have had both Yahoo & Hotmail plus accounts since 2004.
I deleted the yahoo account and re-entered everyday since and it has not been fixed.. Windows Live on PC works fine but uses "plus.mail.yahoo.com" & "plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com " I tried this but with or without the plus added it does not work, I just get a different error msg. ..i.e. name password incorrect.
I have seen many people online with this problem, this is a shame because Outlook webmail has a superior GUI than Yahoo and I would hate to have to switch.
PS: I also went to Yahoo mail plus and deleted all spam-mail etc, but that didn't work either. (test mail came in on PC Windows Live)

Outlook.com has stopped getting mail from AT&T Yahoo Small Business POP servers. This has affected me, my wife and many other users in the MS Community. So, far, I've spent 2 weeks trying to find answers and I'm getting very little real support outside of repetitive, useless questions and very little understanding of the problem from Microsoft support.
- This problem started for me on July 31st after working flawlessly for 6 months.
- My Yahoo account is a "paid" account. MS has already posted that Yahoo free accounts are not intended to work this way.
- My Yahoo account is "Yahoo Small Business", not "Yahoo Plus".
- My Yahoo servers are pop.bizmail.yahoo.com (SSL/995) and smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com (SSL/465)
- This is NOT a login/password problem contrary to the error received at outlook.com | Settings | More mail settings | Your email accounts | Add a send and receive account: "We couldn't sign in to your POP3 server. Please make sure your username and password are correct. "
- This is NOT a Yahoo problem because:
- My Outlook client, set up with all the same server information direct to Yahoo, works fine.
- My Outlook client, set up with the outlook.com EAS account, hasn't gotten mail since July 31st because outlook.com quit getting mail.
- My Windows 8/Windows Mail program gets mail via IMAP from Yahoo using the same login/password.
- My Windows 8 phone, using a direct mail account to Yahoo, gets mail just fine.
- My Windows 8 phone, set up with the outlook.com EAS account, hasn't gotten mail since July 31st because outlook.com quit getting mail.
- My SurfacePro Mail program, using an account working directly with Yahoo, gets mail just fine.
- My SurfacePro Outlook client, set up with the outlook.com EAS account, hasn't gotten mail since July 31st because outlook.com quit getting mail.
- And, of course, logging directly into Yahoo Small Business, access mail just fine.
The only thing that does not work is OULOOK.COM. And OUTLOOK.COM, with Exchange Active Sync, is responsible for email, contact and calendar synchronization to all my Microsoft devices. That has now gone away and I'm tolerating duplicate emails, unsync'd contacts and unavailable calendar data.
I've gone through 800-MICROSOFT and was asked to purchase a one-time problem fix, which I did, for $99. Then they told me that, since its outlook.com, they can't fix it and will refund my money. They sent me to another support desk and I watched them remotely go through all the basic garbage until (after about an hour) they finally believed what I've printed above. However, they could not solve the problem and said they'd call back. I never heard from them again.
I'll gladly pay money guys! How do I get this fixed?
