Hi - I’m having serious sync issues with SkyDrive on Windows 8.1

Uploads and downloads are stuck on “pending” and I can’t seem to resolve.  Trying to summarise the various postings and actions I have taken to date includes:

• I am definitely connected to the internet

• SkyDrive Sync Engine is running and does not crash, "Sky Drive Sync Engine Host" process is running.

• SkyDrive app shows no errors – but continually shows “pending” on downloading and uploading

• SkyDrive Desktop (File explorer view) shows the blue arrows indicating a sync activity (no yellow triage or red x

• Files have standard filenames

• I have run the SkyDrive troubleshooter – which it always just ticks the “SkyDrive restart and Maintenance” – no other issues found

• I have tried removing the offending files from the SkyDrive folder, which clears the upload/download status in the SkyDrive app, but as soon as I put them back into the folder they re-appear in the stuck on pending status

• I have stopped SkyDrive, deleted the contents of %localappdata%\Microsoft\SkyDrive and rebooted

• I have moved the local folder out of SkyDrive which contains the offending files, deleted it from the skydrive web site, then moved the folder back into the local skydrive folder.   It seems to sync all items apart from the offending file

• Cleared SkyDrive recycle bin (in case it was somehow caching)

• Cleared MS Office Upload Centre cache

• Tried to empty the SkyDrive Recycle bin (which allegedly has over 47K items?!), but just keeps hanging when I try using “Empty Recycle Bin” on the SkyDrive website

 Any advice or pointers would be much appreciated
