when replying to a message I now have to type in the email address of the person who sent the email to me to reply to them and I never have done this in the past. What is wrong with Hotmail?

when replying to a message I now have to type in the email address of the person who sent the email to me, it used to automatically fill in,  to reply to them and I never have done this in the past.  What is wrong with Hotmail?
