Why is it not possible to reply directly to answers being sent to my questions?

I am still trying to retrieve my lost emails from over a month ago and getting nowhere with microsoft 'support'. In brief -

  •  I woke one day to find all my emails gone and an empty Inbox 2 which I never created.
  • Microsoft keep sending me private messages which I am unable to open even after following directions that had been sent as a reply.
  • I do not understand why I cannot reply directly to responses from microsoft staff.
  • I have continually requested a number to call so I can actually SPEAK with someone to speed up this process.
I am beyond frustrated and extremely disappointed in how long this is taking to resolve. I I will not be able to retrieve emails tell me.

In response to the last reply from microsoft -

  • Does this issue persist on a different computer? Yes, I only use my computer at work and my iPad at home but I did try to log in on a friends computer and emails were missing.
  • Have you tried signing in on a different browser? Yes, I am now using Chrome.
  • Does this issue happen when using a different account? No idea what this means, I only have, and have ever had, one hotmail account.
  • Did you receive any error message upon opening the private message? I just would not open. None of them.
  • Are you accessing your account through web based Outlook.com or mail client? Web based Outlook.com
looking forward to the next reply and, as always, hoping this matter can be resolved as it is taking up my time and yours which is not effective management of time in a business.
