Why is video editor trying to add files from my D drive to C drive when I’m trying to work on a file which is on my D drive. I want it to do all the editing stuff only in D drive. FIX??

My C drive is a NVME SSD and my D Drive is a HDD, I've been trying to edit my videos on my D drive, because of my SSD's limited write cycles. But, the Video Editor is adding the file from D drive to C drive, doing all the editing stuff there , then it exports the video to the D drive
