I have had the misfortune to have a past hotmail account live so I appreciate the need for security. However, if I was that worried about security, I wouldnt be using hotmail. So why are they making the same mistake as Google? I dropped google when they started to link everything together and became the ultra invasive replacement for microsoft. Going back to what felt like relatively safe hotmail I logged in today to find they want everything including my inside leg measurement just to let me log in. I dont want to give out my phone number, I dont want to link everything I own to a personal email account and I sure as **** wont provide more than basic information particularly in light of recent security scares. In the old days me mum used to say "if you havent done anything wrong you have nothing to fear". That was pre google. Now we are living in Orwellian nightmare world I feel extremely paranoid about giving more information to anyone that just patently doesnt need it. Google were at the top of my list of scarey companies for linking just about everything and trying to sell my data to just about anyone on earth. Now MS has done the same and I cant even properly access my sign in because its asking for masses more necessary information than I feel comfortable providing. I had this email address for a long time so its painful letting it go. Thanks a lot for the "allow" option on my private life or nothing choices. Wouldnt it be good for business and just nice to be the good friendly company for once now google went super invasive?
