I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on a HP Pavilion laptop.  I use Windows Live mail, Version 2011 (Build 15.4.3555.0308).  I have 3 email accounts on it - my email provider is Rogers in Canada.  Two email accounts work perfectly but one always come back with an error message

Unable to send or receive messages for the Rogers (debilevy) account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

Server: 'pop.broadband.rogers.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes

Sometimes in spite of this message, some emails do get sent from this account, but none are ever received.

I have checked with Rogers who say that there is no issue with the server and that all my settings are correct.  I have made sure my anti virus protections and firewalls should not interfere, and in any case, there is no difference between the settings for any of the three accounts.

I have tried removing the problematic account and re-adding it. On re-adding it, all the emails loaded but it worked for a few minutes and then it stopped working again.

This issue has persisted for a number of months now, I try not to use open Windows Mail but anytime I try to send an email directly from a website, the computer opens it.

This is super frustrating, I have scoured the web and cannot find a resolution - I did find another person had mentioned a similar issue but all the suggested fixes (check setting, turn off antivirus etc) did not help at all.

Can someone please assist me, I really need to get my Windows Live Mail to work for all my email accounts (especially in light of the fact that the affected account is my default account).

Thanks,
Debi
