Is there a way to configure Windows Live Mail (2012) to only show the paperclip sign on an email when there is an actual attachment (such as a Word, Excel, JPG file)?

At the moment the paperclip sign also appears on other messages as well, which makes it impossible to establish which emails have actual attachments.

From searching the internet, the suggestion is that the paperclip signs that appear on messages that do not have an actual attachment may be due to them containing signatures with images.

From looking at my data, the original emails which came from Microsoft Outlook only show paperclips when there are actual attachments. When I imported them into a new Outlook.com account, paperclips appeared on more emails than the originals, and having just synced this account with WLM, there are even more paperclips in WLM than appeared in Outlook.com.

Is there any way to configure WLM to only show the paperclips when there is an actual attachment?
